Katherine and Robert Engagement Session at Ocean Reef Club
Nothing excited me more than capturing true emotions in photos. And these two laid-back, fun-loving people made this photographer a thrilled lady. The photos really speak for themselves. These two are just smitten.
Katherine and Robert were best friends who fell in love. They met when they both played lacrosse at Amherst College. They have been best friends since her freshman year.
Robert proposed this summer in a field near Katherine’s parents, Martha’s Vineyard house in Edgartown, Mass. They celebrated straight after by going sailing with both their families.
I was delighted when Katherine and Robert chose me to document this chapter in their beautiful story together. We decided on the Ocean Reef Club, and wow, this place is nothing short of beautiful and has so many backdrops for photos. Check out the pics, and you will see exactly what I mean.
Robert says his fiancee is caring, energetic, silly, smart, and brave. And Katie says that her fiancé is laid back, active, caring, curious, and brave. They are always up for a challenge and game for what the other one wants to try. They enjoy everything together skiing, biking, hiking, road trips, cooking together, doing crossword puzzles, and golfing. Sounds like a perfect match.
The lighting was any photographer's dream on the day. The sun streamed through the trees when we needed it to, and the clouds gave us beautiful diffused light at just the right time.
