Sierra and Blake Engagement Session at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
Today I am back at the stunning Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. I truly love to shoot at this location, and I don't think I could ever run out of new photo inspiration in this beautiful place. Sierra and Blake met when they were in high school. They were set up as prom dates in their senior year. It already sounds like a fairytale. Two weeks after the prom, they said, “I love you,” and two months after that, Blake followed Sierra to Tallahassee for college. It’s now 6 years later, with many, many adventures along the way, and they are ready to say “I do!”
Blake proposed on December 23rd in Mizner Park. He got down on one knee in front of the crowd watching the Christmas tree light display and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and then her two best friends, who had been hiding, jumped out to celebrate with them. At the end of the night, they went, just the two of them, to the beach to gaze at the stars.
These two are just the cutest and clearly a perfect match. Sierra said that Blake is handsome, loving, supportive, compassionate, and a goofball. She also told me that Blake’s constant growth and openness to new ideas would be her favorite thing about him. And Blake said that Sierra is sweet, caring, hardworking, silly, and beautiful. And his favorite thing about Sierra is how caring she is and how she always has a positive attitude.
I was delighted when they chose me to do their engagement photos. When the lighting is just right, and the couple is so in love and at ease with each other, it really makes my job so much fun.
