Jurassic Garden - Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden engagement | Christine and Austin
Today's shoot is at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. A huge botanical garden with an array of tropical plants, including palms, cycads, flowering trees, and vines. The ideal backdrop to do some beautiful engagement photos. Austin and Christine first met at a dog park in Boca Raton, Florida where they bonded over their love of their dogs, Maya and Marelee, and being Florida Gator fans.
After what Austin claims was Christine playing hard to get, they finally had their first date at Subculture Coffee. She thought she better invite him to the UF/FSU football game in Gainesville, FL, the following weekend. Obviously, she had to make sure he could handle her in her element and deal with her rowdy tailgate squad of best friends. He was and the rest, as they say, is history!
After their Christmas plans were changed due to Covid, they had a cute Christmas together.
Christine wanted to make their Christmas Eve as close to possible as his family's traditions, so they did their own fondue set up and hung out with their two dogs, and each exchanged one gift. And after several attempts with photos and timers, they finally got a decent photo of the four of us. And then Austin said he wanted to have one more gift on Christmas Eve. Christine was confused, but then he got on one knee, pulled out a ring box from his pocket, and asked her to marry him. It was extraordinary because her dad had also proposed to her mom on Christmas Eve 30 years ago.
And that’s why I’m here today with them. To capture this special occasion in their life together
and of course to get some absolutely amazing photos. Photographing at the Botanic Gardens is always fun, and these two are super cute and so much fun to shoot. They laughed, they smiled, and they even danced their way around the gardens with me.
