Wedding at Pelican Grand Beach Resort | Joan + Marc

Let me introduce you to Joan and Marc! Their love began during Joan’s life-changing move to an apartment in D.C. Excited to begin a new life in the city, Joan met Marc in their apartment building’s lobby over their shared interest in biking. Joan asked Marc for any bike route recommendations in the new city, and Marc was blown away by how gorgeous Joan is. A couple nights after their initial interaction, Marc got up the nerve to appear in front of Joan’s front door with a bottle of wine. After that glass of wine, some bike rides, art galleries, and Saturday night dinner, Marc asked if she would have dinner with him ‘this Saturday night and every Saturday night’. Their love story feels like a made-for-tv romance!

The bride and groom decided to incorporate flowers into their seating chart. Each name has a different color flower, that matches the wedding colors, their name, and table number. The seating chart in mounted on four separate wooden boards.

Two years later, mid-July, Marc bought a ring for Joan and made dinner reservations at their favorite restaurant. Joan knew something was up the minute the champagne arrived. At that moment Marc dropped to one knee, presented Joan a beautiful ring, and asked “Will you marry me? [pause] Please say yes!”. Isn’t that the sweetest thing? A year later on July, 16th, 2022, they were ready to start a new chapter of their life as husband and wife with their wedding at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort!

the bride is pictured in her v-shape classic wedding dress. She has a pair of elegant pearl earrings and is holding her beautiful bouquet of multiple shades of pink flowers
The groom is wearing his black tuxedo with a pop of a purple patterned tie and a dyed purple rose. He is smiling in excitement for the big wedding day at the pelican grand beach resort.

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort offers a classic and elegant feel with their ocean view  ballrooms. The floor to ceiling windows add so much natural light, it’s screaming for a Miami photographer to capture the beautiful moments. Joan looks so beautiful with her dress and ready for the next chapter with Marc. Joan loves simple designs that make an impact which is how she incorporated her love of flowers to represent that.

In her room at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, Joan is waiting for her future husband, Marc, to get a first look. Marc is filled with anticipation and cannot wait to see his beautiful soon-to-be bride. The moment Marc catches a glimpse of Joan is truly magical. He was smiling from ear to ear!  They toasted a glass of champagne to themselves and their next chapter. Joan and Marc have one of my favorite first looks.

the groom embraces his new bride in his arms and they share their first kiss as newlyweds together at the altar.

Joan and Marc said their vows in the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in the presence of their closest family and friends. From the first look to “I do”, you can tell they have so much fun together and so much love for each other. The room is filled with love, laughter, and happy tears!

After the wedding ceremony, the entire room was excited to celebrate Joan and Marc as newlyweds. Joan and Marc’s reception at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort ballroom felt like an elegant dinner party. A dinner party where they shared a first dance surrounded by their loved ones, where the room gave toasts in their honor, and where the “Peddle song” made a debut.  I want to congratulate Joan and Marc on the beginning of their new chapter together! I wish you both nothing but the best and endless Saturday night dinners together. They have two of the most beautiful hearts and made me feel so special to capture their sweet wedding.
