Wedding at the Church of the Little Flower, Comber Hall | Emmi + Kyle

On this wonderful January day, we are at the Church of the Little Flower, Comber Hall for the wedding of Emmi and Kyle. After shooting their engagement session the previous year I was excited to rejoin them for their wedding day! Emmi and Kyle met on the second day of freshman year orientation at the University of Miami. They’ve been inseparable since then!

Kyle proposed on New Year’s Day while ice skating in Rockefeller Plaza after they recently moved to New York City. Kyle described Emmi as spunky, bubbly, and energetic. Those are the exact vibes I was getting during our bridal portraits with Emmi. The Church of the Little Flower, Comber Hall is one of the most beautiful historic properties in South Florida, meaning we had great architecture and lighting for amazing bridal shots.

They had their first look and said their vows before the ceremony. Let me just tell you it was the sweetest thing. You can see Emmi’s heart beating with so much excitement she has to hold it in until she meets Kyle at the end of the hall. The modern chic architecture of the Biltmore Hotel in Miami was the fairytale spot for Emmi and Kyle to say their vows.

After saying their vows, Emmi and Kyle are joined by their wedding party! The bridal party looked stunning in their sage green dresses and the groomsmen looked very dapper in their tuxedos. It was so much fun capturing this experience since everyone was having a great time. The wedding party are naturals in front of a camera!

Now it isn’t every wedding that has a special guest appearance, but Emmi and Kyle’s love for the University of Miami brings in Sebastian the Ibis! The whole reception was chanting the classic “U gotta believe” slogan when Sebastian entered the room. Who doesn’t love to eat churros while conga dancing with a beloved mascot?

After a memorable modern twist on a traditional wedding, Emmi and Kyle make an exit! Their path is illuminated by their family and friends with sparklers. The embers of the sparklers was the perfect way to end a spectacular wedding day.

Lastly, thank you so much to Emmi and Kyle for allowing me to be able to capture your special day! From the engagement shoot to your wedding day it has been an incredible experience for me. I am so grateful and wish you both the brightest future!
