Yesenia and Javi Wedding at The Living Sculpture Sanctuary

Today's wedding finds me back at one of my favorite photoshoot locations, The Living Sculpture Sanctuary. Javi and Yesenia met 2 1/2 years ago via Instagram. After many pursuits, Yesenia says she finally gave in and made, what she calls, the best decision of her life.

And you know I love to hear all the proposal details. So on a family trip to Orlando, Javier was surprised to take her to the Wheel at ICON park. Even though Javier is terrified of heights, he was determined to go on, and Yesenia gladly accepted. Poor Javier had his back up against the wall while she looked out amazed at the view saying, "Babe, this is very cool, thank you," and with that, Javier said, "You know what's even cooler?" and when she turned around Javier was down on one knee, and she burst into a flood of happy tears. She never managed to get the word "yes" out, but he knew it was a definite yes without hesitation.

And that brings us up to today and why we are all here. After an emotional first look, the happy couple had a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony at the Living Sculpture Sanctuary. It is a hidden gem, a retreat from the hustle of South Florida. It is a stunning place with gentle waterfalls, bonsai, and koi ponds that emerge from its lush setting in centuries-old live oak trees.

A photographer's dream! Javier and Yesenia said their vows in front of their dearest friends and family. And as the night closed in and the stunning gardens lit up, we captured the most stunning portraits of this newly married couple. When I talked to the happy couple between shots, I asked them to tell me five words that described each

other. Yesenia said her husband is always caring, thoughtful, loving, funny, and her world. Her favorite thing about Javi is the way he looks at her and makes her feel. Javier makes her feel safe and like she's the luckiest girl in the world.

Javier said that his beautiful wife is motivated, determined, energetic, compassionate, thoughtful, and Yesenia makes his world complete when he comes home. I am so honored to have been involved in their special day. Congratulations, Javier and Yesenia. May you have all the happiness now as you continue your journey together as husband and wife.
