Today’s wedding is a little different. In fact I think it might be classed as a micro wedding. It was just me, the bride, groom, and Miami Beach.
First of all, let me introduce you to Laura and Almer. They met through a mutual friend. It was an unexpected surprise for both that they got along so well and so quickly. Our first date (blind date) was at a pizza shop.
On a trip to San Francisco, California Almer proposed while they stopped to look at the Golden Gate Bridge. What a beautiful surprise at the end of the trip. He got 2 guys to film the proposal and in between happy tears and excitement, Laura did manage to say a firm yes.
They went to the registry office to get married in a quick civil act. On their way out Almer asked, do you want food from Burger Fi? And just like that, we celebrated our marriage in the car eating burgers and fries. It’s not what you do is who you do it with and that moment will always be so genuine and spontaneous that I imagine they will never forget.
I love to shoot at the beach and everything about this day was just perfect. The perfect couple, perfect wedding location, and perfect lighting. We even did some shots in the water which were brilliant.
When I asked them to describe each other in five words Almer said that Laura is Loving, Considerate, Intelligent, Kind, and Hardworking. And Laura said her husband is Affectionate, Protective, Funny, Chivalrous, and Dreamer.
This was a beautiful intimate shoot and I loved documenting the start of their new chapter as husband and wife. Thank you, Laura and Almer. I wish you all the love and happiness.
