Nathalie & Yves Engagement Session

“Love doesn’t make the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.” – Franklin P. Jones

Nathalie and Yves aka Junior met at North Miami High School back in 1996. Junior would wait for her in the hallway in between periods. Until she finally gave in and gave him a chance, and they began to date. They have known each other for over 20 years. And while they haven’t been a couple for all of that time, fate brought them back together and in March 2018 Junior proposed and now they are planning the rest of their lives together. As a couple they love to to laugh, travel, and they are foodies. But most important for them is that they love having their families around for gatherings.

The love they have for each other is pure and never ending. When asked to describe each other Junior describes his bride to be as beautiful, ambitious, family oriented, adventurous and driven. Natalie says that her groom to be is handsome, funny, energetic, a great cook and a loving person.

We did their engagement photoshoot at the Ancient Spanish Monastery, Miami, a favorite location of mine to shoot. There are so many great areas within the grounds that make it a dream location for any photographer.

They smiled, they danced, they laughed, they are so smitten with each other I barely had to give them any direction at all. For two people who have known each other as long as they have, it is obvious that they know each other so well. There is so much love and admiration between them and that really comes across in the photos. It’s what I live for as a photographer! Documenting the stories, the relationship and the love between two people as it really is! Telling their own story that is true to them.

Thank you Nathalie and Yves for asking me to capture your love story! I wish you all the happiness in the world as you plan your future. Cant wait for you're wedding in June!

Shayna & Benjamin Engagement Session

“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning. Your love paints a beautiful picture of what love really means.” – Anonymous

Shayna and Benjamin met through a mutual friend. When asked how they would describe each other.... Benjamin says that Shayna is beautiful, strong, selfless, kind and incredible! Shayna says that Benjamin is generous, loving, hilarious, intelligent and caring. They got engaged on December 22nd 2018 at Gulfside City Park Beach (Algiers) in Sanibel Island, FL. Benjamin got down on one knee and popped the question! It was perfect. The next chapter on their adventure together.

When they said they wanted to have their engagement photos at Ellie's Diner, I knew it was going to be a really fun shoot. When you walk into Ellie's Diner, it’s like you’re transported right back into the 1950’s! If you have never been to Ellie’s, I definitely recommend it. It’s like being on the set of Happy Days. And when I saw Shayna and Benjamin in their amazing outfits they fit right in.

This is definitely up there with my top favourite shoots! The colours, the backdrop, their outfits and how loved up these two are! They danced, smooched and had a sundae, all the things you normally do at a diner! (Normally you don’t have a photographer with you but anyways!) Lots of giggles and looks of love, these two were great to photograph. They were up for any and all of my ideas and had great ones of their own! As you can see for yourself, from their heads right down to their toes, they look like they have been beamed right out of the 50s! And with a nod to the gorgeous Disney movie UP, with their Grape Soda pin badges! Aren’t they just the cutest thing ever!

Gabriela & Michael Wedding

“Marriage is a mosaic you build with your spouse. Millions of tiny moments that create your love story.” – Jennifer Smith

Gaby and Michael met at her sister's wedding and romance blossomed from there. Michael is my (now) brother-in-law's good friend from high school. Turns out there had been many previous events they had both been invited to throughout the years and either one or the other didn’t show! I guess their time hadn’t come! Until hers sisters wedding day!

As a couple who spend their free time going on trips, picnics, bike rides, and hikes together, it isn’t surprising they got engaged on a trip to Arizona and the rest, as they say, is history!

And that brings us to their beautiful wedding day! I knew after we shot their engagement session that their wedding day was going to be a dream. These guys are super cute and ridiculously smitten with each other.

On the morning of everyone is relaxed and enjoying the moments as the day begins to unfold.

Gabriela and her father walk down the aisle of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, Miami, to her adoring groom, waiting patiently for her! Michael and Gabriela said their “I do’s” in front of their families and closest friends and I feel privileged to have been asked to be a part of their amazing day.

The church was the perfect location and we did the family portraits and some of the bride and groom shots there too after the ceremony.
The rest of the day went off seamlessly, with the reception being held at Gabriela's parents house. A hive of love, laughter and so much emotion.

These guys were so much fun to shoot. So relaxed, so fun and so ridiculously smitten with each other. They really did make my job so easy! Check out the photos and see for yourself how absolutely adorable these newly weds are.

Congratulations Gabriela and Michael, I am honored to have been able to document your amazing day!

Marjorie & Aaron Elopement

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” – Nora Ephron

Intimate weddings and elopements have an inherent charm I just can’t get enough of. There’s something so striped back about elopements. It really is all about the couple, the love, and what’s truly important to them. Aaron and Marjorie’s day was exactly that and more.

They met at CrossFit in Lakeland. Not your typical meet cute! Aaron normally worked out in the evenings and Marjorie in the morning. Aaron decided to visit Crossfit one morning and there was Marjorie - needless to say, Aaron started attending a lot more morning classes!
Aaron proposed to his beloved Marjorie during sunset at the lake where they had their first date. And that brings us to today. A stunning intimate wedding ceremony in the Flamingo Gardens in Miami.

Marjorie and Aaron said their I do’s in a beautiful settings at the botanical garden. Just the two of them, the celebrant and their son, this elopement is one I will always remember. Marjorie looked truly wonderful in her elegant gown, only needing minimal accessories she chose the most beautiful earrings and her bouquet was the finishing touch to her stunning bridal look. The ceremony was so beautiful and filled lots of love and some happy tears. It was truly my honour to document every moment of it. Whilst capturing the intimate moments, we were blessed with the most beautiful natural light, adding to the atmospheric pictures.

You will see for yourself in the photos, so much love and emotion from these two and the photoshoot was so much fun!

Aaron and Marjorie, thank you for letting me capture these moments for you. I wish you all the love in the world as you go forward as husband and wife.

Gabriela & Michael Engagement Session

“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.” I always say when your comfortable, it makes for really great photographs.  So what better   place to feel comfortable and get crazy amazing engagement photos than to have your engagement photoshoot in your home. That's what Gaby and Michael decided to do and you are in for a treat.  These guys are beyond cute and their little french bulldog, (name), almost stole the show with his adorable Christmas jumper.  Gaby and Kevin met at her sister's wedding and romance blossomed from there. Gabriela says  about the proposal  "This year, we went for a road trip through Arizona. We made a pit stop in Scottsdale, where Michael requested we climb Camelback mountain again. When we got a nice landing, we sat to watch the sunset. He told me he wanted to spend his life with me, read me a letter he had written to my mom , and then proposed. It was so beautiful.”  “She is the love of my life” says Michael.  These guys were so much fun to shoot.  So relaxed, so fun and so ridiculously smitten with each other.  Check out the photos and see for yourself how absolutely crazy cute these guys are.  As it was coming up to Christmas we went for a cozy theme shoot.  Guest starring their other family member, their gorgeous dog.  This soon to be Mr and Mrs are so relaxed and so in love and we really had so much fun at the shoot.  They were so comfortable in front of the camera, really showing their personalities with a little silliness included and it made for amazing photos.  Check out the photographs to see for yourself.

Carla & Pablo Wedding

“The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt

with the heart.” – Helen Keller

Pablo and Carla met in 2006 when we were both ballkids at the Miami Open (called the Nasdaq back then). They ran into each other almost a year later and after some myspace stalking (from Pablo’s part!) they started talking and dating at age 17. It’s been over 11 years since and after many adventures together they’re so excited to be starting the adventure of husband and wife. Carla and Pablo pledged your love in a romantic ceremony amidst the lush greenery of the Crandon Park Golf Course. After the ceremony, the celebrations continued with courtyard cocktail hour and their reception.

The first look, for me, is one of the best moments of the day to capture. One of the most romantic parts of their special day, it is full of excitement, nerves and so much love. It also means they have a moment to share, just the two of them before seeing all of their family. Settle any nerves and prepare for their most special day. (And while, yes, I am there, I’m not there either. The first look is always captured in a subtle, non-intrusive way.)

The emotion on Pablo’s face, as he watches his bride to be come toward him, is just beautiful. All that love! Carlo and Pablo said their vows and devoted their lives to one another in front of their closest family and friends. Their reception was full of fun and laughter. Each table number representing a year in their relationship, with pictures to match. Such a beautiful touch. The cake cutting nearly turned into a full on food fight!! (kiddling!)

Thank you Pablo and Carla for such an amazing and fun day. It was my honour to capture your love and marriage. May you have all the joy and happiness in your new life adventures as husband and wife.

Ashley & Alexandra Bridal Portrait Session

Ashley & Alexandra had been friends for years, meeting through mutual friends while working at Walt Disney World back in 2011. Alex had to return to Canada to finish her Bachelor's degree, but spent a few summers or semesters throughout that time in Orlando working for various roles at Disney World. She couldn't stay away so decided to return to Florida in 2016 to earn her MBA. They immediately began to spend all of their free time together. Friendship quickly grew into something more. After nights out with friends, they would just stay behind and talk for hours learning about each other's lives and interests and feelings about life and the world.

Christmas is their favorite time of year. Alex surprised Ashley (BACK IN JUNE 2017), with reservation plans for dine in the Queen Victoria Room at Victoria and Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort on Saturday night, Dec. 23rd. She was finishing up her MBA in the fall semester leading up to that holiday season. Their hearts actually broke in half when they learned towards the end of the semester that her request to extend her Visa to stay in the US had been denied following her graduation. She was the person she had always been looking for, and when she fell in love with her it felt like Ashley had finally found a missing piece of herself. Ashley knew she couldn't lose Alexandra because of some stupid border stipulations, and planned a surprise proposal for the night of their big holiday meal. The plans for her regular Christmas gift went out the window, and Ashley found herself shopping for a diamond ring the week before Christmas.

The meal was amazing, 10 courses of the best food they ever had in there lives surrounded by the most opulent setting they could imagine. Following the meal, they had reservations for a horse-drawn carriage ride around the grounds of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to look at even more holiday decorations. They were tucked in under blankets in the back of the horse drawn carriage and Ashley told Alexandra she had a surprise for her, took small wrapped box out of her handbag, and proposed there in the back of the "sleigh." It was so dark they had to use the light of her phone to help her see the ring.

Ashley & Alexandra waited until they had members of both our families in town (her parents live in Florida for the winter, and her sister and brother-in-law are frequent visitors to Disney World), and along with two of their best friends, went to the Orlando County Courthouse in the morning on Feb. 2, 2018 and got married.

It was a beautiful day (impromptu pics at Lake Eola, lunch at DoveCote, and the two of them happened to have Lana del Rey tickets that night!), but they never had the time to plan a traditional wedding or get the dresses and flowers they loved. They are so excited to be having a special wedding shoot to document their love at the beautiful Ringling and formally announce their marriage to loved ones and friends.

Lorelei & James Wedding

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you

courage.” – Lao Tzu

James and Lorelei met on a dating app and it turned into a lifelong love!. They bonded over many things and one of those was a love of food. In their own words they call themselves “Champion Eaters”. Lorelei loves that James is strong, intelligent, well spoken, kind, and hilarious. James adores her and says she is articulate, graceful, wise, hilarious, and The One. If this is not a match made in then I don’t know what is.

I love being based in Miami. I never tire of the amazing locations available for shoots as a photographer. At Flamingo Gardens there are acres of botanical gardens creating the picture perfect wedding setting and basically a photographers ideal location. And this is the place that Lorelei and James have chosen for their special day. When I arrive to the house, Lorelei is being well looked after by her girl squad. Lots of giggles, some bubbly and everyone can’t stop smiling. (Another reason I love my job - capturing the moments).

The final touches are added, shoes and jewels and Lorelei is off to meet her husband to be for their first look. I adore first looks, the anticipation, excitement, nerves, it’s so amazing to watch and to capture. As she walks up behind him, James cannot wait to turn around and gaze on his bride to be, but he has to wait. Once he turns they both stare into each others eyes! That is the definition of the look of love! ( Eeeeeek, it makes me excited all over again just looking through the photos.)

Lorelei and James said their vows and dedicate their lives to each other in front of family and friends. An emotion filled ceremony followed by a super-fun filled reception. A truly beautiful day from start to finish.

Congratulations James and Lorelei. May your married life be filled with all the joy and happiness. I am honored to have been part of your special day.
