“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.” I always say when your comfortable, it makes for really great photographs. So what better place to feel comfortable and get crazy amazing engagement photos than to have your engagement photoshoot in your home. That's what Gaby and Michael decided to do and you are in for a treat. These guys are beyond cute and their little french bulldog, (name), almost stole the show with his adorable Christmas jumper. Gaby and Kevin met at her sister's wedding and romance blossomed from there. Gabriela says about the proposal "This year, we went for a road trip through Arizona. We made a pit stop in Scottsdale, where Michael requested we climb Camelback mountain again. When we got a nice landing, we sat to watch the sunset. He told me he wanted to spend his life with me, read me a letter he had written to my mom , and then proposed. It was so beautiful.” “She is the love of my life” says Michael. These guys were so much fun to shoot. So relaxed, so fun and so ridiculously smitten with each other. Check out the photos and see for yourself how absolutely crazy cute these guys are. As it was coming up to Christmas we went for a cozy theme shoot. Guest starring their other family member, their gorgeous dog. This soon to be Mr and Mrs are so relaxed and so in love and we really had so much fun at the shoot. They were so comfortable in front of the camera, really showing their personalities with a little silliness included and it made for amazing photos. Check out the photographs to see for yourself.
Ashley & Alexandra had been friends for years, meeting through mutual friends while working at Walt Disney World back in 2011. Alex had to return to Canada to finish her Bachelor's degree, but spent a few summers or semesters throughout that time in Orlando working for various roles at Disney World. She couldn't stay away so decided to return to Florida in 2016 to earn her MBA. They immediately began to spend all of their free time together. Friendship quickly grew into something more. After nights out with friends, they would just stay behind and talk for hours learning about each other's lives and interests and feelings about life and the world.
Christmas is their favorite time of year. Alex surprised Ashley (BACK IN JUNE 2017), with reservation plans for dine in the Queen Victoria Room at Victoria and Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort on Saturday night, Dec. 23rd. She was finishing up her MBA in the fall semester leading up to that holiday season. Their hearts actually broke in half when they learned towards the end of the semester that her request to extend her Visa to stay in the US had been denied following her graduation. She was the person she had always been looking for, and when she fell in love with her it felt like Ashley had finally found a missing piece of herself. Ashley knew she couldn't lose Alexandra because of some stupid border stipulations, and planned a surprise proposal for the night of their big holiday meal. The plans for her regular Christmas gift went out the window, and Ashley found herself shopping for a diamond ring the week before Christmas.
The meal was amazing, 10 courses of the best food they ever had in there lives surrounded by the most opulent setting they could imagine. Following the meal, they had reservations for a horse-drawn carriage ride around the grounds of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to look at even more holiday decorations. They were tucked in under blankets in the back of the horse drawn carriage and Ashley told Alexandra she had a surprise for her, took small wrapped box out of her handbag, and proposed there in the back of the "sleigh." It was so dark they had to use the light of her phone to help her see the ring.
Ashley & Alexandra waited until they had members of both our families in town (her parents live in Florida for the winter, and her sister and brother-in-law are frequent visitors to Disney World), and along with two of their best friends, went to the Orlando County Courthouse in the morning on Feb. 2, 2018 and got married.
It was a beautiful day (impromptu pics at Lake Eola, lunch at DoveCote, and the two of them happened to have Lana del Rey tickets that night!), but they never had the time to plan a traditional wedding or get the dresses and flowers they loved. They are so excited to be having a special wedding shoot to document their love at the beautiful Ringling and formally announce their marriage to loved ones and friends.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a. Patricia and Kevin met through a co worker, who happened to be Patricia's best’s friends sister. He is captivated by her carefree personality, as well as her sarcasm! She adores his integrity and knows he will always be a provider and protector of his family. Patricia said “ When we met and got to know each other we both knew we were blessed to find one another.” He's everything she needed and she's everything he needed. From the first look to their fun exit, this was such a beautiful day. Patricia looked exquisite and took Kevin’s breath away at their first look. The only thing I love more than a romantic first look moment is a teary groom! The outdoor space for the ceremony at the Secret Woods Nature Center looked so magical with all the little details all dressed up for Patricia and Kevin's big day! The day ran seamlessly with the lovebirds smiling the whole way through. They said their I do’s in front of their closest friends and family and started their married life with a great big party! Their day was filled with so much love, lots of laughter and a few happy tears! Congratulations Patricia and Kevin, I am honored that you chose me to be a part of you're amazing day. I wish you all the happiness in the world as you start you life together as husband and wife.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way than this: where I does not exist, nor you, so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.” Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets. Erica and James promised each other Forever in front of their closest family and friends. And I was the lucky photographer that they chose to be part of their very special day. From Erica’s Star Wars shoes (yes you read that right, see the photos) to James Darth Vader cufflinks it was clear that this was going to be a fun day to photograph. James took the bold step in planning a surprise proposal to Erica in London. He proposed to her in London at the Shakespeare theatre. Erica loves James because he is optimistic, kind-hearted, generous, honest, dedicated, and logical. She also explained that out of all of James’s abilities, her favorite is James ability always to see the positive in every situation “He helps me laugh and forgive when times are difficult and keeps me positive. He brings joy and balance wherever he goes.” She said. The father of the bride had a dual role in todays wedding at the beautiful St. Agatha Catholic Church in Miami, FL. Not only did her escort his beautiful daughter down the aisle, he was the priest who married them on the day. A very emotional and proud day for him in so many ways. Erica was extremely close to her grandparents and had hoped they would see her married. But sadly they both passed away recently. Erica made sure they had a presence on the day and had with her a beautiful necklace given to her by her grandmother. Erica and James, this was a beautiful day and I thank you for asking me to be part of your special day. I wish nothing but the best for you both as you begin your life as husband and wife.
Lorelei & James were in downtown Miami for an LCD Soundsystem concert, on a perfect October night, As they walked to the venue, he stopped, told her how much he loved her, got down on one knee, and proposed. It was incredibly sweet and he nailed it with her stunning sapphire engagement ring! Of course she said yes. James and Lorelei met on a dating app and it turned into a lifelong love!. They bonded over many things and one of those was a love of food. In their own words they call themselves “Champion Eaters”. When I asked them to describe each other in 5 words I genuinely teared up. Lorelei said strong, intelligent, well spoken, kind, and hilarious. James said articulate, graceful, wise, hilarious, and The One. If this is not a match made in Heaven then I don’t know what is.
They rock up to the shoot at Miami Beach looking how any engaged couple should, happy, stylish and full of mischief. It is a beautiful thing to document the love between two people. I could sense that James and Lorelei were going to be so much fun to shoot and they did not disappoint. It is crystal clear from the outset that these guys are smitten and as I spend more time with them, I can’t help but be excited for they're wedding photography in December. I love their style, how they snuggle and fit perfectly, the easy loving way they both look at each other.
Being a Miami based wedding photographer I never tire of the amazing locations available for shoots. As we walked through Española Way & Southpoint Park they are natural and very comfortable in front of the camera. The light was dreamy and as we made it to the beach they had nailed all the shots. Throughout the shoot they were laughing and smiling. (Making my job a dream.) Their genuine affection comes across beautiful and effortless in every shot. If you don't believe me then check out the photos for yourself.

Jennyfer & Jose’s love story began on 2016 when they encountered each others profiles on an online dating site... yes, they did!!!. After exchanging few texts, they agreed to meet in person... literally three days after the first text. Time flew that night, they were talking & laughing for hours, the chemistry was definitely there between them. Then, the time to say goodbye came, it was there when they knew that they needed to see each other again very soon... and the rest is history, Jose proposed on their one year anniversary in a helicopter!! How romantic is that! So that leads us to today. When I arrived to the bride and her posse, they were calm and relaxed. They were sipping on something pink and bubbly. Jennyfer was getting the finishing touches to her makeup and hair and adding those all important sparkling accessories to complete her stunning bridal look. Everyone was speechless. Jose, his best man and groomsmen were just as chilled and ready for the day to begin. Looking very dapper I might add!
Their first look was filled with so much emotion that I have to admit I even felt tears welling up.
The ceremony was at the beautiful St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church and as I expected full of smiles, colour and love. The procession of bridesmaids and groomsmen beamed with pride at being part of Jose and Jennyffers big day. The adorable flower girl and page boy nearly stole the show with their unbelievable cutest. But the guest all fell silent as Jennyfer made her entrance and walking toward her hubby to be.
The entire ceremony was beautiful from start to finish. And I happily captured all the smiles, the laughs and the loving looks between them. And the moment they had their first kiss as husband and wife was delicate and wonderful. The reception decor was decadent and classy and I loved photography all of the gorgeous details they had painstakingly picked out for their special day. When I left they were dancing the night away. Their first as husband and wife. Congratulations Jennyffer and Jose, thank you for asking me to be part of your amazing day.
My goal is always to give my couples a memorable experience by providing natural, fun, unique and nontraditional images that represent them as a couple. They met at Victoria's parents house. On their one year anniversary Juan planned something special. He had prepared a game for her; he spread some clues that lead to each other with beautiful messages and memories. The last one, lead to her Dad who drove to an undisclosed location, when she walked in Juan was singing a song he wrote her for her birthday. After the song he got down on one knee and proposed to a cheering group of family & friends. It was the sweetest thing. Juan and Victoria arrive to the shoot, bursting with energy and fun. It doesn’t take them long to get relaxed in front of the camera and what you see here is the results of an amazing shoot at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. We picked a few locations in the park and ended the shoot at the beach. As a self confessed clumsy person (Victoria), going out of a rowboat to get some photos could have ended in disaster. Thankfully it was the exact opposite and the photos came out amazing, with no one ending up in the water! Getting to document the love between two people, will never get old for me. It’s about telling their story, in their way, I am just there to capture every bit of it.
One of the best things about my job is that I do not encounter the same day twice. And that’s just how I like it. New people, new places and so much more in between. It definitely keeps it interesting. When it comes to shooting engagement sessions it never ceases to amaze me, how you can tell people are made for each other! Just to look at two people and think “wow, they are perfect together!” Whether it’s the way they look at each other, the subtle ways they find to always touch each other or the way the bounce off each other with wit and fun. Nichole & Lovel are all those things and more! Nichole describes him as giving, considerate, sensitive, silly, and patient. And Lovel describes her as beautiful, funny, smart, caring, intriguing. They met when a friend of Nichole’s was introducing her to a group of her friends and in walks Lovel. They hit it off straight away and knew they wanted to get to know each other more. The rest, as they say, is history! They have been together and apart for a total of 25 years! Crazy in love is how you would describe it. We did their engagement shoot at a beautiful enchanted park in Davie with so many locations to choose from. It truly is a wondrous place to explore. The light on the day made my job a dream. And just as I suspected it was so much fun. As Nichole says “He’s stuck with me!” And he couldn’t be happier about it. Nichole and Lovel, thank you for letting me capture your true love, I wish you nothing but the best for your life that lies ahead.
