Jillian & Robert Engagement Session

You know what I’m afraid of? my camera not working, my local Starbucks closing shop, and zombie movies. You know what I’m NOT afraid of? PDA. In fact, I am all about it, especially when I’m photographing a gorgeous and super in-love couple like Jillian and Robert, who were constantly stealing kisses and wrapping themselves up in each other throughout our engagement session!

Our shoot started at Tree Tops Park a very intimate location. I love that I didn’t have to prompt them at all to lean in and get close, either. Can’t you feel that passion and heat through your screen? HOT HOT MUY CALIENTE!

I asked these two about their love story, and Jillian told me…

We met at the gym in November 2017, prior to that I had noticed Rob because he worked there. Every week when I went to Zumba class I would get excited to see him but never had the guts to go and talk to him. A friend of Jill's was a bit bolder than I am and went right up to him after class and told him she “lost her wallet" and to tell me if he finds it as she ran out the door. After we were introduced, Rob was smitten. He tried to play it cool by asking simple questions and the conversation ended organically. After I left, Rob told his co-worker that he just met his wife.

DANG! that is what I call serendipity!  Congratulations on getting hitch in the coming months, Jillian and Robert. May you forever have a relationship filled with passion and love!

Keka & Sam Wedding

Coming to you on the blog today is Keka and Sam’s February wedding, which is a serious contender for one of the most fun weddings I have ever photographed. From 3:00 pm in the afternoon when we started the day at Hilton Grand Vacations at McAlpin-Ocean Plaza while the Bride & Groom was getting ready, to the ceremony at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, and then to the reception at Miami Shores Country Club the shenanigans ended at 11:00 pm in the night and with a VIP Uber waiting at the door for the Bride and Groom to take them away, it was a non-stop stream of laughing, dancing and merrymaking. (Do people say “merrymaking” still? If not, this wedding is definitely  bringing it back).  Here's a little slideshow of the highlights of this BEAUTIFUL Wedding. Enjoy!

These two lovebirds met at a bar called The Sandbar, well like they say the rest is history and have clearly been having the time of their lives ever since. And, as you’d expect, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were just as much fun. I mean, there are wedding parties… and then there are wedding PARTIES. Mingled in with the uproarious events were some genuinely sweet moments, too. I loved when their daughter was given the microphone to say a toast to her lovely parents. Just goes to show that fun and love go together really, really well. Congrats again, Keka and Sam, and is it too much to ask that you put me on the invite list for any of your future get-togethers…? Ha!

Jennyffer & José Engagement Session

You don’t have to ask me twice to head to the airport called Signature Flight Support PBI and the beach my happy places for an engagement shoot! That’s where I photographed Jennyfer and Jose, and it was an absolute dream session in every way.  Jennyfer & Jose wore matching outfits that said Mr. & Mrs. and used a vintage letter J marquee because they are known as the “J’s” their 2nd outfit change Jennifer wore the most beautiful flowing floral printed dress that she look absolutely incredible in, and Jose looked so handsome in his suit which blended into the scenery perfectly!

They also wanted to do sunset pictures so we headed to the shore at around 5:00 pm just when the sun was setting which made the light especially golden, soft and rich, and the Coral Cove Park waters a deep blue rich turquoise that appears shimmery

I love hearing couples love story! So when I first met them over a cup of coffee at Starbucks they shared with me how they met and it went a little something like this…

Our love story began on August, 2016 when we, fortunately, encountered our profiles on an online dating site... yes, we did!!!. After exchanging few texts, we agreed to meet in person... literally three (3) days after the first text. We met after work at The Pub. Jose was sitting at the bar, waiting... (could you guess which J was pretty anxious?)  then I arrived, and we really felt at ease after our introduction. At some point, early in the conversation, we said: "I am from Venezuela, and I am from Puerto Rico"... from that moment, we knew that we would get along like "Arepa con Bacalao" (a Puerto Rican song that fuses two (2) distinctive dishes from our countries "Borinquezolano style") Time flew that night, we were talking & laughing for hours, the chemistry was definitely there between us. Then, the time to say goodbye came, it was there when I knew, and He knew that we needed to see each other again very soon... and the rest, as they say, (no matter how cheesy it is)  is history!!

Every time I read their love story it put’s a smile on my face. For they're wedding day in October these two lovebirds are heading to St. Raymond Church for their ceremony and then La Jolla Ballroom for the reception. I have no doubts that it’s going to be a beautiful day full of sunshine, love and joy!

Cassidy & William Engagement Session

In my 5 years as a photographer, I’ve been extremely lucky to get to work with all kinds of amazing human beings. As you’d expect, every couple is different from the next. Some are all about the PDA, some are all about keeping it sweet and romantic, and some people… well, some people are just downright hysterical!  Meet Cassidy and William, two of the goofiest & madly in love couple I’ve worked with in a really long time. The session took place at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, FL, which was a great backdrop for our the two of hours together.

The entire time these two were cracking jokes and being playful, and I was there to catch it all on camera. I thought it was particularly funny when I told William to pose and he did the prom pose with Cassidy. Ha!

I asked Cassidy & William to share their love story with me and this is what they said…

We originally met in high school, but we’re both dating other people. We reconnected again, the first time, through social media, Instagram. It was pretty much a fairytale and I think we both figured it was too good to be true. We however THANKFULLY reconnected again through Instagram and have been inseparable ever since. This past August we traveled to Germany, Northern Ireland and France. My first time outside the US ! He proposed at the Giant’s Causeway, in Northern Ireland, which is amazingly beautiful and forever will be one of my favorite places in the world.

These two are officially tying the knot on October 18, 2018  at Secret Gardens of Miami,  its is going to be a very beautiful and unique wedding because the theme is Harry Potter! I can not wait to capture their love story. So wish them lots of luck! But really, with a relationship as lighthearted and fun as this one, I don’t think they’ll need any luck at all!

P.S. There engagement session was also feature on Voyage MIA Magazine

Mycka & Edwin Wedding

2018-03-22_0001.jpg

There’s something about a classic, formal wedding inside of a church that gets me every time. It just feels so pure and cinematic. I love the pews, the pulpit, the architecture, and if I’m lucky the real life organ/stained glass windows/incredible art. Mycka and Edwin’s wedding ceremony took place at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Miami, FL and they're wedding reception took place at a hidden gem in Homestead, FL called Secret Gardens of Miami

These two met at during high school years through a mutual friend. Edwin proposed to Mycka at Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira Church in Colombia and here we are looking at they're wedding photographs! Isn’t that the sweetest story?

About they're wedding day, Mycka said, “ I have found whom my soul loves.” How about that?

You guys are going to rock this whole being married thing. Thanks for sharing your day with me!

Marisa & Kyle Engagement Session

Three weeks ago I met up with Marisa and Kyle at Coral Gables' Granada Entrance in Coral Gable's, FL for their engagement session. I truly loved this shoot because not only did I get to photograph these two (who are CLEARLY madly in love with each other), but their son, Riley was there for the shoot, as well!

We started off by photographing just them:

And then it started to Rain but it didn't stop these two love birds!

Riley was so much fun to watch while this was going on! “He kept hiding his face every time these two went for a kiss” or he will be laughing and smiling and holding on to this mom legs very tightly.

I love that I didn’t have to prompt them at all to lean in and get close, either. Can’t you feel that passion and heat through your screen?
